About / SLOW- ANTI-FASHION LABEL / experimentation...Helena Carrizosa's work is eclectic, unpredictable and rebellious. Her collections are an exploration of contrast, freedom and the adaptation of the constant change of the elements around her, allowing them to freely mix together, to mutate and to evolve. The combination of this elements result in a rich & eclectic work that comes not as a choice but as one of her more prominent personality traits, nonetheless, nurtured as well by her own cultural mix, Colombian/Italian and from her experience living and working in Bogota, Paris and later London, where she resides now.Helena is committed to work towards having a more sustainable label through the Slow Fashion movement by not following the usual fashion calendar nor trrends but instead working only one inspiration/collection per year which helps make every piece a timeless object meant to be kept rather than discarded at the end of each season. Additionally, by trying to do a zero waste process, which led her to create the project "circle project-O", where she collects her waste and that of other designers, to give it a new life cycle. She makes functional and decorative objects available for purchase.Interlinked as cause & effect, this are the 7 pillars that form the basis of her work: individuality / freedom / timeless / experimental / contrast / eclectic / slow fashion.
